AFTER much planning and prayer, 20 children with families and helpers gathered in the village hall on the first Friday in August, when Messy Church was launched at St Breward.
The next two hours were a buzz of creativity, singing and finally eating together as this month’s theme, based around the film ‘Frozen’, was explored.
The children made badges, snowmen shooters, tiaras and magic wands. There was colouring as well for the little ones.
The afternoon came to a close with the making of a ‘Frozen’ landscape and some enthusiastic singing and instrument playing.
Changing our hearts with the help of God’s love was the essence of the short talk and it was a happy hungry group of adults and children who finally congregated to enjoy jacket potatoes, and ice-pops.
There will be a repeat performance of the event on Friday, September 4 at 3.30pm in the village hall with a similar but different theme. Free entry, donations only.
Thanks were expressed to all the industrious willing helpers.
