WHEN two Halwill men spoke last March about going to the Glastonbury music festival, they joked about growing their hair long. The next day, the pair packed away their clippers.

Since then, Darren Phillips and Andrew Winser, who normally keep to grade one, have been growing their hair, and raising money for Devon Air Ambulance.

Last week, they had their shoulder length locks permed at The Place for Hair, Holsworthy, who offered the service for free.

Andrew is eager to see how much they can raise for the charity, with donations already reaching around £1,000. However, he isn't so keen on his new style.
