CAMELFORD Town Council are set to install a bench outside the town’s museum, in memory of former town councillor, Philip Lessels, who died in April.
In discussing the bench at it the recent meeting, Cllr Andy Shaw said: “Having known Phil for 30 odd years, he’s never been ostentatious, he’s never been a bling man.”
Councillors felt a hardwood bench with a plaque would be a fitting tribute.
“That would honour his memory better than a big, flowery, ostentatious thing.”
The clerk, Esther Greig, is to come back to the next meeting with quotes.
