ON Monday, April 15 the ‘Crackington Haven — One and All’ book was launched by an enthusiastic crowd who are keen to preserve the local social history.

The book contains a collection of 16 short memoirs and life experiences, which capture the living environment from over 50 years ago. Memories fade and when loved ones die they take take their stories with them.

Both rustic and romantic, from farmers, soldiers, sailors to tourists and evacuees, each story adds to the bigger picture of a bygone age.
