THE team at Lloyds Pharmacy in Holsworthy held a Christmas meal on December 7 for local residents who may be lonely over the festive period.
This year 14 residents attended the meal at the King’s Arms and enjoyed a lovely two-course lunch in the company of others.
A Lloyds Pharmacy spokesperson said: “Some of our guests were really overwhelmed to have been invited and were very much looking forward to socialising with the other members of the community.”
Each resident received a gift and card from the pharmacy and a gift donated by Moo Free, a local business. Thanks were expressed to all staff and customers who helped raise money throughout the year and thanks to all who attended and had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.
The spokesperson added: “Next year will be our fourth year if you know of anyone who would benefit from this social event, please come into the Lloyds Pharmacy store and let us know.”
