Mayor of Pembroke Dock, Clr. Peter Kraus, together with his wife Doris, had the honour of being invited on board the cruise ship Silver Explorer last Saturday when it arrived at The Port of Pembroke.

Said Clr. Kraus: "We met all the passengers who were from all parts of the world, including Australia, Canada, Africa, Switzerland and many other countries. They were given a very warm welcome. We then met the captain who kindly took us on board and showed us what a fantastic ship he had. We met up with quite a few of the crew who were so polite, and finally, we exchanged gifts.

"The captain and crew made our visit so welcoming, I decided to return when the ship was leaving for Skomer and it was very emotional, Many pictures were taken and enjoyed by all."
