LAUNCESTON Town councillors have agreed to their current mayor carrying on for a second term.
At their meeting on Tuesday, March 20 in the Guildhall, it was agreed mayor, Cllr Margaret Young, would continue in the role for a second year.
Cllr Rob Tremain said to Cllr Young: “I think we are very satisfied with the way you have led and cajoled us and look forward to a second term.”
It was also agreed current deputy mayor, Cllr Dave Gordon, continue in his role for the next year.
The annual meeting of Launceston Town Council is split in to two meetings, the first taking place on Thursday, May 17 at 2.30pm in the town hall. The second follow on meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at 7pm in the Guildhall.
