BUDE Canal and Marshes has scooped the prestigious Green Flag Award for the third consecutive year, to the delight of the town's mayor Cllr Paula Dolphin. The national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales, the Green Flag Award, highlights sites which are free to use and open to everyone. To gain the award, parks and public spaces have to meet a range of criteria including providing a welcoming, healthy, safe and secure environment, as well as being clean and well maintained and involving the local community.
