AN update on matters arising in Holsworthy’s rural area has been compiled by the area’s Devon County Councillor and shows work to improve how the council and locals converse is being made.

Devon County Councillor Barry Parsons (Con) gave an updated overview of the ‘number of matters’ that will affect Holsworthy and the surrounding area in the near future.

During his update Cllr Parsons spoke of the most recent highways meeting. He said: “I am pleased to see the date of our next highways meeting, ‘A Different Conversation’. All parishes have been invited by locality lead Ali Boyd, as well as officers, both Highways and otherwise from Devon County Council.”

The meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, November 16 in Holsworthy’s Memorial Hall from 7pm to 9pm.

Cllr Parsons added: “I strongly encourage all parishes and the town council to have representation. As many of you know, I am very keen to have different kinds of conversations, which allows for better outcomes through significant input from our communities.

“At the Holsworthy Advisory Meeting I was asked for a ‘link’ indicating the kind of outside recognition and interest being shown in regard to what we are doing locally.”
