PEOPLE flocked to enjoy the inaugural Tinstock Festival, held on Saturday, August 20, where a host of great acts and bands proceeded to provide a musical spectacle.

This event was not only for fans of the music however, as funds were being raised for a number of local good causes.

The trustees of Tintagel Memorial Fields, with Paul Haynes at the helm, welcomed around 400 people to enjoy performances from Stoned Zucchini, Kernuyck, Tintagel group Shellin' Snails and headliners Bon Jovi UK — a tribute to the US superstars.

All donations are being divided amongst organisations, including Tintagel youth football, football, tennis and cricket clubs, the skate park and the Christmas lights committee — all of which will receive £130 each, with an additional £170 going to the memorial fields trust.

Paul said:?"Thanks to everyone who came to Tinstock. A great success — everyone had an excellent time, the bands were great and the beer flowed well. We managed to raise £130 for each of the clubs which is great, but we can do much better next year.

"So, start preparing and book August 18 on your calendar for next year, as big things are happening!"
