Laura Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nigel Jenkins, of Cresselly, and Simon Shorten, son of Heather Shorten, of Cilau, and Barry Shorten, of Haslemere, were married on May 30.

The ceremony was held at Carew Cheriton Church, with Rev. Carolyn Wood officiating.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by childhood friend Samantha Morris and her cousin Jade Griffiths as bridesmaids.

She wore a fitted fishtail, strapless lace dress by Dianne Harbridge.

The best man was Peter Flavell. Rhys and Adam Jenkins, brothers of the bride, David and Rhys Shorten, brother and nephew of the groom, and Ronald Thomas served as ushers.

The bride is a food and beverage manager in Tenby, while Mr. Shorten is an environmental protection officer working for Welsh Government.

After a mini moon in Paris, the couple will reside in Penally.
