Alex Spaven

The wedding of Joanne Williams and Alex Spaven took place at Carew Wesley Methodist Chapel on Saturday.

The groom is the son of Andrew and Ann Spaven, of Northampton, while the bride is the daughter of Gerald and Elaine Williams, of Carew.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory lace gown and carried a bouquet of cream roses and gypsophila.

Bridesmaids were Rhiannon Spaven (groom's sister) and Rachel Beeby (friend), who wore knee-length mint green dresses, and Fiona Baldwin and Amy Walker (university friends), who wore knee-length pink dresses. They all carried bunches of gypsophila wrapped in twine.

Best men were Paul Lewis and Nick Ratcliff (school friends), while usher was Simon Williams (bride's brother).

The couple were married by Rev. Lorette J. Hinson.

During the signing of the register, The Quaynotes Choir performed.

The reception was held at Trefloyne Manor, Penally.

The couple will honeymoon in three weeks time on a cruise around the Eastern Mediterranean.

They will continue to live in Bristol.
