THE second stage of a series of public consultation events regarding the future of Hatherleigh Livestock Market was held on December 2.

The development team, LHC is proposing a regeneration project of the market, which could include a supermarket, affordable housing and employment space.

Re-visited plans were displayed by the design team who reviewed and sought to understand the many comments, concerns and constructive suggestions that were made during the first event in July and have been made since.

The development team, LHC, commented on the feedback.

A spokesperson said: "These views, mostly from local people, have had a very real impact upon the shape of the emerging proposals.
