REFURBISHMENTS of The Bray, Marhamchurch Village Hall, have continued apace in the last twelve months.

Despite the economic downturn, trustees have been able to obtain grants for much of this work, but have also used their own funds.

"We are lucky to have trustees and other volunteers with the skills and enthusiasm to do most of the work in-house, saving us substantial labour costs," said Peter Hillenbrand, Chairman of Marhamchurch Village Hall Trustees.

"There are regular community activities in The Bray and some very successful private functions have been held."
