THIS month we had an array of beautiful photographs entered for the March theme in our photography competition, Spring Countryside.
This gave ample opportunity for budding photographers in the Post area to enter their spring photos in our monthly competition, with the theme for March being ‘Spring Countryside’.
We had our favourite entries, including some beautiful flowers blossoming on some branches by one reader from Bude, a landscape shot of the land at RHS Rosemoor by Graham Heard from Morwenstow and a photo of some very pretty spring flowers by Nicky Foulds from Polyphant.
However, this month we had to give the crown to Bude’s Shannon Bluett, who has provided the ultimate spring photograph — a gorgeous little lamb curled up in the thick green grass under a beautiful blue sky. Shannon’s photo will be featured as the March photo in our end-of-year calendar, to be published later this year.
And as March comes to a close, we are suddenly upon April — the month of Easter, and St George’s Day! This month’s theme for the Post’s photography competition is ‘Perfect Picnic Spot’.
With sunnier and warmer weather, now is the perfect time to grab your picnic basket and head to a beautiful spot to spend the afternoon with friends or family. We want to see your favourite place to take a picnic, or a perfect picnic set-up! Perhaps get the kids involved and let them arrange a picnic for the photo.
Send entries to [email protected] with your name, location and a bit about the photograph. Alternatively, for those with an Instagram page, please post your entry to your page, tag us @thepostseries and send us your details via Instagram direct messenger.
We will post a favourite entry each Friday, with the winner of the month being announced at the end of April.
Good luck!
