THE Maranatha Singers (formerly The Bude and Holsworthy Circuit Singers) presented their 2016 Christmas Musical, ‘When Love Crossed Over’ on Saturday, December 3 at Bude Methodist Church and on Sunday, December 4 at St Olaf’s Parish Church, Poughill.

With traditional and modern carols, mixed with modern, secular songs adapted to bring a message of Love at Christmas.

The conductor was Lorna Cox and accompaniment was provided by: Sarah Riviere: Piano, Cliff Pryor: Drums, Coral Locke and Matt Bosustow: Guitars and Trish Nicklin: Concertina. Apprec­iative audiences gave generous retiring collections, raising £710 at Bude for Bude Junior School’s Memorial for Jaye and £375 at Poughill for Toybox.

The singers will commence rehearsals for their 2017 summer production in February on Tuesday evenings at Bude Methodist Church.
