A MAN received hospital treatment for stab wounds following an incident at an address in Bude on Tuesday, October 28.

Officers were called to an address in Maer Down, Bude, around 11.30pm, after reports of a fight.

On arrival police discovered a man, in his 40s, with injuries to his head and abdomen.

The man was taken by ambulance to North Devon District Hospital where he was treated for superficial stab wounds before he was discharge the next day.

Police would like to speak to a man, who is believed to have left the scene around the time of the incident, is currently being sought by police.

The man is described as being in his early 40s, 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and with cropped dark brown hair.

He was wearing combat trousers and a blue/grey fleece, and was also carrying a rucksack.

Officers are making inquiries in the area but believe it is possible the man may be attempting to travel into Devon.
