AN 84-year-old man has died following a serious road collision on the A30 at Pennygillam, Launceston, on Friday, October 14.

Emergency Services were called just before 10.30am to a single car collision.

Police have reported the car collided with the central reservation of the A30 Westbound. Both West and East bound carriageways were closed in order to facilitate the landing of the air ambulance.

The man was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance but died on Monday, October 17.

The West bound carriageway remained closed whilst officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Team conducted a forensic examination of the collision scene. The East bound carriageway was reopened just after 11.50am.

The road was fully reopened at 1.15pm.
