POLICE have recovered two priceless 15th century oak panels stolen two years ago from Torbryan Parish Church.
Now an appeal has been launched to raise £7,000 needed to replace the rare decorative panels, considered to be of national importance, back into the rood screen of Grade I listed Holy Trinity church.
Stolen in August 2013, the hand-painted panels depicting saints were hacked from the medieval screen and damaged when they were removed.
