Launceston residents see third council tax increase in three yearsMr Jones, 68, is certainly not against technology — he has a computer and access to online statements, but he says he still prefers paper bills as they make it so much easier to check transactions.
"If you haven't got a piece of paper to look at, I don't know how you can be sure you've checked everything," he commented. "I like to tick mine off against receipts. Yes, I could print something off myself, but why should I? These banks and utilities are in the service industry and they should be providing a service — a customer should be entitled to receive that correspondence on a piece of paper."
