Holsworthy Community College Year 8 students held their annual charity day on Thursday, March 19.

During their Life Skills lessons they came up with ideas for various stalls with the aim to make as much money as possible.

The money raised will be donated to the House Charities, Apollo — Help for Heroes, Poseidon — Cancer Research, Thor — Cancer Research and Zeus — Save the Children.

There were stalls and events over the entire school site — wherever they could find a space!

Nathan Andrews said: "We made custard pies and threw them at the teachers at break and lunchtime. Mr Badham and Mrs Hawker volunteered and got covered in custard, but when Mr Scott came out at lunchtime we got through three tins in five minutes!

"We managed to raise £13 on our stall alone. It was a great way to raise money. We all really enjoyed it and hopefully we made lots of money for our house charities."
