BLESSED with a glorious late summer afternoon, the cream tea organised to support The Merlin MS Therapy Centre held at Pencarey, St Teath, by invitation of Yvonne and Alan Tew, raised the magnificent of £654.90, added to which generous donations amounted to £165. Various stalls and competitions included a draw for two hand-made cushions (£40), name the scarecrow (£49), tombola and plants (£124), cakes (£101.40). The scarecrow's name was Mabel. Rides on the Garden Railway departing from and arriving at St Teath Central Station raised £33 after the insurance premium was paid.
