THE Breath of Fresh Air lung support group from the Holsworthy area met up with their friends from the Launceston Breathe Easy group on Wednesday, August 15, for afternoon tea at The Fat Hippo Cafe in Homeleigh Garden Centre.

This annual event was thoroughly enjoyed by all 24 people attending with great camaraderie and exchanging of stories.

Wendy Millar and Glenda Smith, the groups’ facilitators, were delighted with the growing friendship between the groups and vowed to continue with the joint get-togethers.

Wendy spoke briefly about new guidelines from the British Lung Foundation about how groups can be set up as affiliated or independent groups according to how they chose to manage their finances. This would be discussed further at the next meeting of The Breath of Fresh Air group at Chilsworthy Village Hall on Wednesday, September 19, at 2pm when the guest speaker will be Community Respiratory Nurse Clare Ovendell.
