BRADWORTHY brushed aside local rivals Putford on Sunday to ease into the next round of the Torridge Cup.
Brad' started brightly in difficult conditions and opened up a two goal advantage early on, Luke Potter's threaded through ball was calmly converted by Carlo Chandler for his third goal in as many games, before Michael Sampson started and finished a flowing move by converting Toby Curtis' low ball in to the box.
Putford were not going to let Bradworthy run away with it however, Jamie Ashton fired in a dipping 20 yard volley and then saw his close range header well saved by Brad' 'keeper Will Radford to keep the home side in front.
Bradworthy restored their two goal cushion just before half time, this time Sampson turned provider for Curtis with a delicate chipped cross which the Brad' forward glanced into the far corner.
With conditions rapidly deteriorating in the second half Bradworthy took control and Luke Potter added two more goals to the tally. His second strike was the finish a brilliant move deserved; Gary Clarke's raking 40 yard pass found Toby Curtis free in the right channel and his cross was met at the far post by Potter who struck his left foot shot hard and low past Dave Walter in the Putford goal.
David Richardson had a chance to pull one back for the visitors late in the game but placed his shot narrowly wide of the upright, but it would have served as little more than a consolation for the away side
