ST TUDY is back online — more than two weeks after internet and telephone services were disconnected in the village.
The disruption affected a significant proportion of the village, which is home to more than 500 people, with services out of action since January 22.
North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson also bemoaned the poor levels of communication BT had provided when questioned over resumption of services.
He said: "People were told that the repairs would happen on January 28, before being informed that the works would be put back to January 29, February 3, then the evening of February 4 and later on February 6."
As of Wednesday, February 5, Mr Rogerson said he had heard conflicting reports that the repairs would happen last Friday, February 7, or February 11. Fortunately, the issue was resolved at around 1pm on the Thursday.
