CAMELFORD girl, Kayleigh Norman, is currently fundraising for a cause close to her heart.

After having studied veterinary science for a year at Bristol University, animal lover Kayleigh, will now volunteer in India, helping to reduce the incidences of rabies in dogs.

She said: "This passion for helping dogs began last year when I went out to Thailand to volunteer with a charity called Soi Dog, helping sick, injured and neutering stray dogs."

She added: "The aim of the mission rabies project is to vaccinate 50,000 dogs in just 30 days which means 2,500 a week!"
