COUNTING for district and town and parish council seats was delayed by half an hour this morning.
Teignbridge Council chief executive Nicola Bulbeck announced to candidates and election staff that she apologised for the 'significant' delay in receiving ballot papers from another constituency.
Just after 11am, officers announced the count was to start. Eight teams of people are working counting the 25 wards which will return a total of 46 councillors.
Ms Bulbeck said: 'Slow and steady does the job, we're not Sunderland.'
