Local photographer Alan Stringer will be holding an exhibition of his black and white photographs of Ross-on-Wye Market in Ross Library from May 26th until June 8th.

Many people will recall Alan's previous exhibition held in October and November 2011, when he showed photographs of the owners of some of the local independent businesses, the project was very well received.

This degree of interest gave Alan the encouragement to eventually embark on the current series of photographs. On this occassion, his subject is Ross on Market days, showing a few general images, but he concentrates primarily on the stall holders and their customers. He felt this project could produce another snapshot of the life of Ross in the 21st century.
