CHILDREN, staff and parents took part in a sponsored 'Ten Tors of Camelford' where they walked to local places of interest within the town. At each stop children were given stickers for their chart to prove they had been there. A rest break took place in the garden at the back of The Masons, where everyone was given refreshments — thanks to Jo and Nigel. The weather was hot, so the drinks were much needed. After the hike everyone returned to the nursery where they were treated to delicious bacon and sausage baps! A massive £1,106.60 was raised, the money being divided equally between the nursery and to Kaitlin Hodgson, aged nine, who suffers from cystic fibrosis. Helen Sleep, nursery manager, said she was so proud of all the children and the parents for getting so many sponsors. Little Acorns Nursery is a registered charity and caters for children aged two to five years. The nursery was recently given a 'Good' overall rating by Ofsted, with two areas found to be 'Outstanding.' For more information, please contact Helen at the nursery on 01840 212114.
