LAST year the Launceston Lions grew tulips in an allotment, provided by Launceston Town Council in order to raise money for a cancer charity.
These were sold by the Launceston florist shops and the proceeds were for Cornwall Cancer Care.
Recently the club was delighted to present a cheque for £300 to Colin Micklewright, the treasurer for the Sunrise Appeal.
The Sunrise Appeal is raising money to enable the people of Cornwall to get the appropriate treatment within their own county.
Members of the club expressed their thanks to everyone who helped with this project and especially those who purchased these tulips from the local florist shops.
