IT HAS been a period of highs and lows for members of Holsworthy and District Lions Club.

Members last month visited Ian Headon's Classic Jaguar Collection in Holsworthy. The group was treated to an enjoyable evening and learned about a dozen or so classic Jaguars including the C-Type, D-Type, E-type and the 'beautiful' Jaguar XK13.

The following weekend, Holsworthy Lions organised a bucket shake at Morrisons supermarket in Bude, in aid of the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal. Ten members each took two-hours shifts over the weekend and raised £625 for the charity, which provides nursing care and family support for people with cancer.
