ALL roads led to Holsworthy on Sunday, November 18 for more than 450 disabled people and their carers from as far away as Weston-super-Mare and Newquay went to the 21st Lions 'fun day' organised by Holsworthy Lions' Club, who was also supported by 25 South West area Lions' Clubs.

The event took place on the Manor Car Park and in Holsworthy Memorial Hall, where Lions' Club members, their wives and partners, many dressed as pirates, the Portreeve, the Mayor of Holsworthy and the town crier were there to welcome them.

The event started in 1992 and was so successful that it has been repeated annually ever since except for the two years when the refurbishment of the Memorial Hall was taking place.
