THE 2019 Tintagel Christmas Lights switch-on was held on Saturday, December 7 with hundreds lining the streets of the village.
Committee chairman, Adrian Osbourne was delighted with how it went.
He said: “It was very successful. We had around 500 people there as well as Father Christmas with his sleigh, two reindeers who led the children’s choir down to Trevenna Square where Pirate FM’s Neil Caddy was.
“We also had a few stalls, including a mini doughnut stall, Tintagel Youth sold cakes and Camelford Town Band did an hour’s piece.”
Adrian thanked everyone who made it possible, adding: “I’d like to thank all the electricians for coming out on their evenings and weekends off, the local community for making it such a good evening and I’m looking forward to making it even bigger and better next year.
“But the person I really need to thank is the treasurer Zoe Coshall. She took on a lot of the roles and put in a lot of hard work as I worked.”
