THE Delabole Christmas Lighting team held a Christmas draw on Friday, December 21, to help boost funds to purchase new Christmas lights for the village next year.
Up for grabs in the raffle was a full Christmas hamper. The aim is to put Delabole on the map to create a much brighter village for the festive season in 2019 and the proceeds from this event have helped bring the village one step closer.
The hamper was won by Esther Richardson who was delighted to be able to receive a little something extra for Christmas as well as giving her support to the cause.
The raffle managed to raise a total of £320, which will be put towards a larger display in the village this year.
During the coming year the lighting committee will be having a number of events to help boost awareness and the fund so keep a look out for what will be happening in the coming months.
The first meeting of the year will take place on Monday, January 21, at the Bettle & Chisel Inn in Delabole, starting at 7pm.
Anyone who feels they could help the lighting committee in any way would be more than welcome to go along and bring some much needed ideas.
