RNLI lifeguards on Blackrock beach in Bude, rescued two children who had been swept out of their depth at the end of last week.
The incident happened as lifeguards up and down the north coast of Cornwall were kept busy with a building swell and spring low tides intensifying the rip currents.
The children, who were both thought to be around nine-years-old, were bodyboarding between the red and yellow flags, when one of them lost their bodyboard and started to drift out of the flagged area.
