THE 2007 rescue statistics for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in the 'Post' area highlight the vital prevention work being done by the charity. In Bude, the lifeboat was launched 9 times during 2007, and it rescued 2 people. In Port Isaac, there were 5 call outs and two people were rescued, and in Padstow, there were 24 call outs and 29 people were rescued. Lifeguards on the beaches in the 'Post' area also had a busy year.
