LIDL supermarket in Launceston is set to re-open today (Thursday), following closure to enable refurbishment and extension to the store.
A spokesperson for the supermarket said the store was extended to house a new bakery and the interior was refurbished adopting a muted-grey palette ‘to bring it more in line’ with Lidl’s current look and feel.
Offers on re-opening day include 50% off selected fruit and vegetables.
The following week, from September 29, there will be 40% off selected chilled food.
Some of the recent works to the supermarket prompted local residents to complain, and Lidl issued an apology for the inconvenience.
A spokesperson said:?“We look forward to welcoming customers back to their new and improved store.”
