THE library in Holsworthy has a dedicated team of volunteers, and special thanks were given to one recently for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Lloyd Moore has been helping out once a week at the library for the past four years.

A spokesperson for the library said: “He shelves books, helps customers and keeps everything tidy — you can always tell if he’s been in as the shelves look immaculate! He is unfailingly polite, helpful and conscientious.

TTVS is the Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) for Torridge District. Library staff nominated Lloyd for one of their awards.

They added: “We nominated him to attend a Torridge CVS ceremony at the Milky Way the other week where he was presented with a certificate in recognition of all his hard work.”
