CAMELFORD Royal British Legion (RBL) is calling on residents of the area to contribute to the group's ceaseless work to assist disabled ex-servicemen and their families' recovery, ahead of the upcoming Remembrance Day on November 10.
"Remembrance Day is a very special day and emotional time," said Vaughan Williams (Camelford RBL Poppy Organiser), "when we remember those that have given their lives for our country.
"The red poppy has become an endearing symbol of that loss, but as it was the first flower to bloom on the war torn fields of Flanders, it has also become a powerful symbol of recovery and renewal."
