THE Tamar branch of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust will welcome passionate naturalist and conservationist Tim Jones to speak about the birds of Lundy at a members' meeting next week.

Tim (pictured right) was born in Devon and brought up in Gloucestershire, and studied at the University of Durham.

He has worked for the British Trust for Ornithology, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Wetlands International and the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.

Tim, who has been watching birds for as long as he can remember, first visited Lundy in 1984 and has returned most years since.

He lives in North Devon, from where, with his partner Tim Davis, they run a small environmental consultancy and can make the short voyage to Lundy as often as they can.

The meeting is to be held on Monday (20th) at Bude's Parkhouse Centre. Entry is £3, to include tea and coffee. For more information, contact 07852 953049, or email [email protected]">[email protected]
