THE Leading Lights Pantomime Group staged their 10th performance at North Hill Village Hall last week.

This year's production of 'Puss In Boots' was a script donated by Bodmin Lions Club and very cleverly adapted by Leading Lights' John Holden to suit the group, the locality and a few local residents.

'Puss In Boots' was a traditional tale of a poor boy making good with the help of his trusty friend 'Cat'. It was also a tale of good and bad with a few comic characters to help things along.

Each year the group try to donate some of their profits to charities. This year they will be donating to the Liskeard Lions Club for the loan of some costumes. The group have already donated time and money into making alterations in the hall so that some of the little used furniture can be stored safely and out of sight and they hope to do more once the pantomime season is over.

Should there be any surplus profit the group intend to make a donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance, and they hope supporters agree this is a very worthy cause.

The cast consisted of: John Friend (O'Grady, an ogre); Betty Bott (Mrs Cravat, his housekeeper); John Holden (Dottie, The Dame); Chloe Bray (Jack, younger son); Sophie Manuel (Cat); Judith Manuel (Mervyn, older son); Earl Terris (King Willie); Gillian Terris (Queen Maud); Lisa Halls (Princess Daisy); Chrsitine Perkin (Percy, a Hell's Angel); Andrea Hickman (Patricia, his girlfriend); Geoff Manuel (Jerry, the jester); Jane Holden (understudy) and Lawry Hugill (Carruthers, the Butler).

The cast of children consisted of: Faye Hickman (Mary and Female Cat); Lesha Chaney (Betty); Abigail Beeston (Sally); Bethany Pyzer (Lucy); Alex Manuel (Tom); and Charlie Hickman (Harry and Chicken).

The first performance was held last Thursday and was repeated on Friday and twice on Saturday.
