LAUNCESTON’S Young Farmers were kept busy delivering bags of dung on Sunday while raising funds for worthy causes.

Benefitting from the sale of around 630 bags are The Farming Community Network and Riding for the Disabled.

The bags were delivered at a cost of £2 each, raising around £1,300, including donations.

In the last three years, the club has raised £4,500 through its dung runs alone, and through other efforts, has managed to raise £7,500 for various local charities.

They delivered the bags as far as St Giles. Launceston YFC chairman Amy Trehane said: “It was really good compared to last year probably because it’s been a pretty good winter!”
