OVER a dozen individual changes proposed to traffic and parking in Launceston have been put forward to Cornwall Council.

Cornwall Councillor for Launceston Central Alex Folkes and Cornwall Councillor for Launceston North Adam Paynter confirmed that despite a number of significant changes to the proposals being put forward, it was decided — on council officers' advice — that they are moved forward either in their original form or as modified, following a meeting held recently.

There was a very good response to the public consultation provided to establish which areas of the town needed re-evaluating, and at the meeting the councillors discussed the comments made. The proposals include the installation of a disabled bay in Cross Lanes, to new residents parking schemes in Race Hill, Kensey Hill and Western Road.
