Premiership Rugby stars Matt Jess, Haydn Thomas and Chris Bentley were at Launceston Rugby Football Club on Wednesday, leading a training session after the club was announced as a winner of the QBE Rugby Pro competition.
Launceston RFC under 12s trained with the members of the Exeter Chiefs' first team courtesy of QBE, the specialist in business insurance. They are one of six grassroots rugby clubs across the country to be awarded a training session with three top Premiership Rugby players.
The prizes were awarded to innovative clubs who demonstrate how they contribute to improving their local community.
The judges were impressed by the hard work shown by the Launceston coaches, in particular within the junior section, and their efforts to attract local youngsters and develop them into well-rounded rugby players and individuals.
