THE YFC County Rally was held at the home of county chairman Cat Ede in Callington on Saturday, July 22, and Launceston’s young farmers came out on top.

The rain held off pretty much all day which allowed for a fantastic day of competitions including the popular greasy pole and bale stacking to name a few.

With a fantastic number of members present on the day Launceston YFC was crowned overall champions winning the cup for most points overall, most points in handicraft, most points in the static section and the pentathlon cup!

Chairman Amy Trehane said: “Having not won a rally for three years it was great to get the winning cup again!”
