CANCER Research UK Launceston and District branch president Val Spry received a cheque for £500 from Lucy Perry — Lucy raised £1,000 at her 21st birthday party.

Lucy raised the money by asking her family and friends not to buy presents but to make a donation for Lucy’s favourite charities.

Lucy passed this on to the two charities she supports, Jeremiahs Journey and Cancer Research UK, each receiving £500.

Grateful thanks go to Lucy, all her family and friends for their very generous donation.
