AFTER concerns were raised over the timing of the traffic lights at Newport, in Launceston, the area’s county councillor and MP stepped in to help.

Cornwall Councillor for Launceston South John Conway and MP for North Cornwall Scott Mann visited the site recently to see what the issue was. They then passed their concerns on to the Highways team who soon rectified the situation.

MP Scott Mann said: “I was contacted by a number of constituents who raised concerns over the timing of the traffic lights in Launceston.

“John Conway the Cornwall Councillor for the area and I went down and had a look and we’ve been working with the Highways team to get this resolved.

“Hopefully, the issues that were reported have now been rectified.”
