A PLANNING application seeking to demolish a garage and erect two new dwellings has been objected to by Launceston Town Council.

The application relates to land east of 36 Broad Park in the town. At the town council’s planning and economic development committee meeting last Thursday, committee chairman Cllr Rob Tremain jokingly referred to the planning application as being for ‘rabbit hutch dwellings’, and Cllr Dave Gordon described it: “Another build in a tiny plot of land again and I think it’s unsuitable.”

Cllr Val Bugden-Cawsey added of the area: “There are already parking issues up there.”

The decision on the application rests with Cornwall Council.
