LAUNCESTON Town Square Events Team held a Family Fun Day in the Square on Saturday.
It was well attended despite the weather and everyone had an enjoyable day.
Mr Showers entertained the crowd with his balloon modeling, stilt walking and juggling.
There were many stalls including face painting and pottery for sale supplied by The Crafty Potter, tombola, coconut shy and Throw the Wet Sponge which delighted the children!
Veronica Retallick brought a few chickens along with her egg grader so people could have a go at grading eggs on her machine.
The Police Respect Bus and the Re-cycling Van were in attendance providing advice and information for the public.
A visit for the Plymouth and Cornish Morris Dancers kept the crowd entertained despite of the showers.
A 'Win a Family Portrait' competition was run with the prize being generously donated by Aavalon Photography.
Launceston Town Band provided the refreshments of burgers, bacon baps and candy floss.
MARTIALARTS
A large crowd watched a demonstration of Taekwon-do and kick boxing performed by Millennium Martial Arts who are based at the Crunch Gym in Launceston, with children performing from as young as four years old.
The Girl Guides had a stand offering information and items for sale.
Kensey, a local street dancer, entertained everyone with different styles of dancing and managed to persuade a girl from the crowd to join in.
A big thank you has been extended to the Mayor and Mayoress of Launceston, Paul and Rosemary OBrien, for attending and to everyone who helped on the day to make it a success and also to the members of the public who made it complete.
