A LARGE crowd gathered at Eagle House Hotel, Launceston, recently for the Launceston in Bloom annual presentation event.

Over 400 photographs were taken of all the best floral displays and gardens in Launceston, ranging from small residential gardens to large commercial and industrial premises producing a marvellous film show of the wonderful array of colour and beautiful designs.

Everyone was eager to see who had won in all of the 50 different categories and to see all their own displays and gardens on film. The best overall garden was Peter Locke, of the Holt, Wooda.

Chairman of Launceston in Bloom, Margaret Wills compered the evening and invited Lorna Ratcliffe (Wain Homes), Rita Skinner (town clerk) and the Mayor, Cllr Rob Tremain to present the certificates to all the winners.
